Description
The founding day of the commercial association is November 21, 1904. Its founding members were: Ν.Κ. Gerousis, Sp. Iatropoulos, G.N. Spiliotopoulos, Meg. Fotopoulos, Arg. Aposkitis.
The Association is a primary professional organization, the purpose of which is the development and dissemination of the trade union spirit to more and more members as well as their unification under the roof of the organization both en masse and sectorally in the form of consultative sectoral departments. The systematic and scientific study, search, monitoring, promotion and solution of every issue that concerns the class and especially its preservation, promotion and development as well as its social professional and moral elevation, always within the framework of free economy, private initiative and the general national and social interest. The unification of the entire commercial class of the country in a single organization for the best achievement of the above objectives.
Achieving these goals are:
To take the necessary measures for the enlightenment of the public opinion and the uninterrupted information of all the competent authorities in every issue that concerns the commercial order by using every legal and appropriate measure.
It monitors government actions and bills to be passed related to tax, market, industrial, agricultural, labor, social and commercial and economic policies in general. It determines the position of the class in relation to them and indicates the applicable and efficient solutions imposed at its discretion. It informs for this purpose its members but also the members of other similar organizations, which, if it deems appropriate, convenes conferences and congresses at local, regional or even national level for the joint examination of the issues that concern the class.
It seeks the representation and participation of the commercial class in councils, committees and in all events of public life that concern it with persons of proven experience, special knowledge and unquestionable ability.
He publishes books, magazines and newspapers, establishes a radio station, publishes articles and studies in the economic or political press, organizes training seminars, trainings, etc., gives lectures, social events and takes any other action for the wider dissemination and fuller information of the social for its positions on the problems of trade and the economy in general, as well as on urban issues.
It is in contact and cooperation with respective organizations in the country and abroad that have common interests and can participate with them in secondary or tertiary professional organizations.
It seeks the development and progress of trade and its individual branches, through the professional training at home or abroad of persons from its branches, as well as the training of high-level trade union executives.
Assigns to a committee that recommends or to specialized persons or with experience and knowledge that it selects, the study of tax, market, labor and in general the commercial and economic issues, the promotion of the aims and aspirations of the commercial class.
seeks the development of the living and social standard of traders by creating the necessary conditions and conditions, especially by securing professional housing.
It seeks the credit enhancement of the commercial class for the development and expansion of its works and activities.
Facilitates the development and implementation of regional policy, social and economic development programs using committees, qualified persons and members.
Contributes to the promotion and development of trade by organizing general or special exhibitions and events, by participating in them and facilitates, promotes and promotes trade positions in society as a whole.
Conducts all legal forms of mobilizations and activities to claim and solve the problems of the class and the protection of the professional, economic and social interests of the members.
For the realization of the above aspirations it organizes appropriate services.
To address directly or through the above trade unions to the public administrative and judicial authorities Greek and non-Greek, local government and trade unions at home and abroad for any issue that concerns the professional and not only the interests of its members.
The commercial enterprises that the trade association trades in are: footwear, clothing (women's, men's, children's), trade in textiles, glassware, gifts, carpets, car spare parts, etc. and 2,500 members are registered
