Description
The stairs of Agiou Nikolaou Street are the largest of the three that connect the lower with the upper part of Patras.
They were formed in 1930, replacing the older winding earthen uphill that started from the church of Agios Nikolaos in the Vlateros district and led to the western end of the city's Castle, where the circular bastion is located and Papadiamantopoulou Street begins.
This large scale is an attraction of the city while from its peak one can have a panorama of Patras, but also of the Gulf of Patras with the opposite Aetolian coast.
