Description
The building of Perivolaropoulos's house is located at the junction of Maizonos and Agiou Nikolaou streets and is attributed, according to testimonies and its morphology, to the architect Ernst Ziller, while the participation in the design of the architect's collaborator T's father is not excluded.
It is a two-storey building of neoclassical style built at the end of the 19th century, with a ground floor gallery on the sidewalk of Agiou Nikolaou Street, which is supported by marble Ionic columns and has painted decoration on its roof.
It has an impressive entrance with a marble staircase that leads to the first floor which retains the painted decoration of its ceilings, a typical example of the neoclassical mansions of its time.
The building is one of the most brilliant examples of neoclassicism as it was applied in the urban centers of Greece.
