Description
The house of the Kolla family was built in 1863 according to data from the archive of Michael Kolla and the date written on the lintel of its main entrance.
The Kolla house is located on Riga Fereou Street, near the junction with Gerokostopoulou Street and in fact consists of two uniform two-storey buildings with attics and separate entrances, the marble door of one of which bears the name of the owner M. Kolla.
Michael Kollas is the ancestor of the well-known family, who came from Chios to liberated Greece, to settle in Patras and engage in trade and financial transactions, being one of the most important economic actors in the city.
The Kolla house is a typical example of a neoclassical urban house with shops on the ground floor, where the commercial activities of its owners were housed and today, renovated, houses various professional activities.
