POINTS OF INTEREST
Twin Buildings, One Family Legacy
The Kóllas family residence, built in 1863, is located on Riga Feraiou Street, near Gerokostopoulou Street.
It consists of two identical two-story buildings with attics and marble doorframes – on one of them, the name of Michail Kóllas, founder of the eponymous family, is inscribed.
Michail Kóllas, originally from Chios, settled in Patras after the Revolution and became one of the city’s most influential merchants and economic figures.
The Kóllas residence is a distinctive example of neoclassical urban architecture, with ground-floor shops that housed the family’s commercial activities. Today, the renovated complex continues to host professional offices, preserving its historic charm within Patras’ modern urban landscape.
